PROBIO+® is a multi-strain probiotic supplement with 20 billion friendly bacteria per capsule, the equivalent of 40 cans of probiotic yogurt, but without the added sugar, dairy, or fat.
Provides 8 friendly lactic acid bacteria strains that should inhabit a healthy gut, and offers full-spectrum support for the upper and lower intestine.
Microencapsulated to resist acids, this probiotic contains friendly bacteria strains compatible with the bile and acid tolerant humans with high sticking power, no need for refrigeration and guaranteed to provide 20 billion live bacteria per capsule for up to 12 months.
It has been specifically formulated for natural health practitioners treating digestive and intestinal disorders. It is ideal for use after antibiotics, foreign travel, and colon hydrotherapy treatment.

About the ingredients...
Heat resistant: These probiotics do not require refrigeration, making them perfect for travel.
Acid resistant: allowing them to reach the colon intact and ready to act. We have carried out laboratory practices to corroborate that at pH 2.0 for 2 hours, our strains survived without any problem. There was even an increase in the case of lactobacilli lactobacilli, which means that the bacteria reach the colon alive, ready to perform their probiotic tasks.
High concentration: 20 billion live bacteria per capsule - more than enough to provide support against digestive disorders and to accelerate the recolonization of beneficial bacteria
Third Party Lab Tested: Independent lab testing of
each batch, indicating proof of strength or claimed concentration of
live bacteria in our probiotic capsules.
Test result: Total viable count /g =
4.5x1010 colony forming units. For more information about this study keep reading at the bottom of the page.
Multi-Strain Formula: A single-species probiotic is unlikely to provide as much benefit as a multi-strain probiotic, which colonizes and targets multiple sites in the body. A multi-strain formula will target more areas and also provide better protection against a broader range of harmful bacteria, fungi, parasites, yeasts, and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
When should probiotics be used?
Probiotic supplements are helpful when the balance of good and bad bacteria in the gut has been upset. This imbalance almost always occurs in the following situations:
- After the use of antibiotics
- After an illness
- During and after periods of high stress
- As we age (and our number of digestive enzymes decline)
- After traveling to a foreign country
- For people who regularly experience upset stomachs
- For people who regularly have an urgent need to go to the bathroom
- For people who have poor digestion
An imbalance of the intestinal flora can cause a number of unpleasant symptoms, such as a bloated stomach, abdominal pain, irregular bowel movements and a feeling of heaviness after eating. Probiotics are recommended for people who want to ensure or maintain a favorable amount of friendly bacteria in their digestive tract.
Is it necessary to refrigerate PROBIO+?
No. This is not necessary because the probiotic bacteria used in this product are specially coated during the manufacturing process to ensure they remain stable at room temperature. This is important, because many probiotic products stored in the refrigerator are damaged by continually opening and closing the refrigerator door, which lets in moisture and damages the fragile bacteria.
Why is this multi-strain formula more effective than a single-strain product?
A single-species probiotic is unlikely to provide as much benefit as a multi-strain probiotic, which colonizes and targets multiple sites in the body. There are literally hundreds of different species of good bacteria in our digestive system, so a multi-strain formula will target more areas and also provide better protection against a greater number of harmful microorganisms.
Can PROBIO+ survive the high acidity of the stomach?
Yes. All bacterial strains in this product are microencapsulated, which means they are protected and protected and can reach their destination in the body in a viable state.
Can the PROBIO+ capsules be separated and the content taken in a drink or food?
Yes, if the food or drink in question is consumed within 12 hours, the effectiveness of the probiotics will not be affected.
Study - Viability of probiotic microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tract:
Individual samples of pure cultures of probiotic microorganisms contained in these sanitary formulations were tested under acidic conditions to mimic the extreme fasting pH of the human stomach
To produce beneficial effects in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), probiotic microorganisms must have the ability to survive and metabolize in the intestine. Therefore, they must be resistant to the acid levels of the GIT.
Probiotic formulas must also contain a large number of viable organisms (highly concentrated) that, when ingested, survive the rigorous attacks of the gut. upper part of mammals for its bacterial content to reach the small intestine. One of the main barriers to the passage of bacteria is the acidity of the stomach. The pH of the stomach varies throughout the day under the influence of the buffering action that food or liquid may have on the stomach. However, the fasting pH of the human intestine is around pH 3.0.
The time it takes for food to pass through the stomach also varies widely, from a few minutes to an hour or more. The food itself will have some neutralizing effect on the pH of the stomach, and therefore a pH of 3.0 is
probably the lowest the bacteria will be subjected to. In addition, food can play a physical protective role.
Thus, the conditions of our laboratory tests will probably be the most vigorous conditions that the bacteria will be subjected to, i.e. a pH of 2, 0 for 2 hours, and the results obtained should be analyzed accordingly.
It should also be noted that the laboratory conditions (in vitro tests) are designed for these tests, although they try to mimic the
conditions inside the stomach, they are, in fact, a very complex situation.
When kept at pH 2.0 for a period of 2 hours, there was no significant loss in viability/concentration of any of the bacterial strains. Contact time is extreme: a two-hour period of contact without any buffering effect, for example, from food or water.
Conclusions: Total viable bacterial counts did not decrease in viability/concentration after contact with pH 2.0 acid for 2 hours. This means that a high concentration of microorganisms survive, reaching the small intestine and establishing themselves as part of the normal microflora.
How to use: Take 1 capsule, 1 to 3 times daily before meals or as directed. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Consult your doctor before taking any dietary supplement or changing your diet.
Storage: No need to refrigerate, store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. Best before the end of date indicated on the packaging.
All our batches go through rigorous quality control, so we ensure the highest quality, concentration and purity.
